The CSFED promotes the sport of target shooting within the ten Commonwealth countries of the European region. Its membership comprises the recognised shooting federations of these countries. Its underlying purpose is to help its members prepare their athletes to achieve success at the Commonwealth Games.
Much of the organisation’s focus is on arranging a regular Championship series, the hosting of which moves around the member countries each year. Championships are held most years except during a Commonwealth Games year and comprise a full schedule of ISSF events together with Fullbore Rifle.
The CSFED meets in General session annually during the Championship or during the Games, which enables members to discuss common interests in the area of Commonwealth shooting and review matters affecting the sport in the context of the Games.
The CSFED is a Division of the Commonwealth Shooting Federation.
The Welsh Target Shooting Federation successfully staged the 2016 Championship over the weekend 22nd to 25th September. The Results are now posted in the results section of the site.
With a full CSF Championship taking place at the beginning of November 2017 in Gold Coast, Australia, no CSF(ED) Championship is planned for that year. Northern Ireland, however, is exploring its ability to host the Championship in 2018 and will report back. National federations will be informed accordingly.
We still have two years with incomplete results in the archive: 1974 & 1997. If anyone can provide the missing information from these years, please get in touch. SW
