The CSFED promotes the sport of target shooting within the ten Commonwealth countries of the European region. Its membership comprises the recognised shooting federations of these countries. Its underlying purpose is to help its members prepare their athletes to achieve success at the Commonwealth Games.
Much of the organisation’s focus is on arranging a regular Championship series, the hosting of which moves around the member countries each year. Championships are held most years except when a Commonwealth Games or Commonwealth Championship is being held and comprise a full schedule of ISSF events together with Fullbore Rifle.
The CSFED meets in General session during a Championship or during the Games, which enables members to discuss common interests in the area of Commonwealth shooting and review matters affecting the wider sport in the context of the Games.
The CSFED is a Division of the Commonwealth Shooting Federation.
Championships
The last Championship was held successfully in Wales during September 2022. It was decided at the General Assembly that there would not be an event in 2023 but to prepare for the next Championships in 2024 and 2025, host countries yet to be announced.
